I’ve been on the down low, I admit. October was a crazy month and November is shaping up to be the same! I quit my job at the bank to work full time making chocolate. How amazing, right? Making chocolate for a living was sweet on multiple levels. Until it wasn’t. Now I’m jobless and fighting tooth and nail to finish the new house we’re building without any income. So far it’s been slow going but rewarding, doing most of the work ourselves. This week has seen a new floating floor being laid and kitchen cabinets put in.
Ignore the dog trying to get his stick from the front porch.
It finally feels real. And we might actually be moved in after a whole year and a little bit of being packed. Oh yeah, I’ve had my clothes and kitchen items packed since last October. I’m willing to put in the sweat equity! Who else has ever dealt with a renovation/new house build? Any horror stories?
