Just got back from a whirlwind adventure in the big city aka Atlanta. I definitely felt a little country mouse vs city mouse. Which is weird because I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale.
Escape into Books was a great success! Everyone was awesome and I got to meet a new bunch of fabulous peeps who love romance just as much as I do.
I also want to post about my new release coming out October 1st, a standalone in the Heartwood universe.
Sugar and Gold
When everything she knows crashes down around her, how hard is Essie willing to fight for the one thing she can’t admit she wants?
Life is full of moments. Some of them darker than others. Hers started when the boy she liked pushed her out a door, and took the fall instead.
Essie Townsend believes in routine. She is perky and driven, the sort of person who forms a book club and has exactly one glass of red wine every Saturday night. She bakes like a dream, dresses like Suzie Homemaker, and doesn’t need a man to complete her life.
But Isaac is back.
After being wrongfully imprisoned, taking the fall for something he didn’t do, Isaac Howard is in Heartwood for revenge on the person who put him in jail. Essie. He finds a way to interrupt her cozy routine. Mess with her head. Get under her skin. Isaac tugs at the strings of her neatly organized life and Essie begins to realize that, just maybe, he’s worth the fight. Even when she knows she doesn’t deserve him.
