Part Six

I’ve fallen woefully behind while finishing my novel. However! Here is the second to last installment on my poetry series covering the Seven Deadly Sins.

Throat closes

Eyes go blind

I lose all control

Fingers numb

Twisted fists

I lose all control

Fill the cracks

And mend the broken heart

I spurn you

Turn from you

Refuse your patience

I see the sun

And feel the rays

But choose the dark instead

Shout my rage at the sky

To watch storm clouds blossom

Twisting, manipulating,

Until blindness takes over

And I am nothing.

Lightning ruptures,

Thunder vaunts,

Swept asunder

Until all that remains

Is loss.

I have lost
