Part Three

Get ready for the third installment on my poetry series on sin. Try and guess this one!

Look at me and see that

I am worth it.

I can do anything.

Be anyone.

Be better.

I am worth the risk.

The effort it takes to keep up.

Striving and succeeding.

Like Midas with his gilded fingers

What I touch can be banked.

Pleasure.

Gratification on a job well done.

That warm glow of satisfaction

After another sensational victory.

Are you impressed yet?

There’s no foolishness in this hubris.

No irrationality in the status.

What is gotten is earned.

So turn your eyes this way,

And take note

Of the worth.

The struggle.

The success.

You could learn a thing or two.
